How the calculation works

Decode a common three- or four-digit SMD resistor marking. The tool converts the form units and presents the result using readable engineering notation.

Cyfry znaczące + liczba zer

Example

Code 472 means 4.7 kΩ; code 1001 means 1 kΩ.

How to interpret the result

  • Common three- and four-digit codes do not cover every marking system.
  • The letter R often replaces the decimal separator.
  • EIA-96 needs a separate lookup table and is outside this simple decoder.

Limitations and safe use

The result uses a simplified model. Check tolerance, temperature, absolute ratings and the component datasheet.

FAQ

Is the result saved?

The latest result may be stored locally in this browser, but it is not sent to LutujTo.

Can I use the result in a project?

Yes, but select a real component with margin and confirm its ratings in the datasheet.
