How the calculation works

Convert a three-digit capacitor code into pF, nF and µF. The tool converts the form units and presents the result using readable engineering notation.

Example

Code 104 means 100,000 pF, or 100 nF / 0.1 µF.

How to interpret the result

• A three-digit code expresses capacitance in picofarads.
• Additional letters may indicate tolerance, voltage or manufacturer series.
• Check polarity separately before fitting a polarised part.

The result uses a simplified model. Check tolerance, temperature, absolute ratings and the component datasheet.
